Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. The hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. In 2017, he released ADN the first of his long-players with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. The year 2021 was the first time he appeared as a duo TINI for her hit stream single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo is a musician born into a musical family. Both his parents were also musicians. He has said in interviews that music was a necessity.
